  Australia is a federal government with a territory of 7,692,030 square kilometers, a total of six states, and two Special Administrative Regions. Canberra is the capital of Australia and it is where the central government is located. Prime Minister is the head of the state and there are sub-governors who are responsible for the management of state affairs.

Six states and their capital:

  • Queensland -- Brisbane

  • New South Wales -- Sydney

  • Victoria -- Melbourne

  • South Australia -- Adelaide

  • Western Australia -- Perth

  • Tasmania -- Hobart

 Two Special Administrative Region:

  • Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Canberra, capital of Australia

  • Northern Territory , the capital city is Darwin

  Most Australians live in the east of the Pacific coast city. Early residents are mainly descendants of British. In recent decades, people from Europe and around the world, including Asia-Pacific countries, immigrated to Australia that is why it has become a multi-cultural country.

  Australia is an English-speaking country. The political and legal system and even the culture came from the British tradition. Australia’s regional exchanges with the neighboring countries and also with the Asia-Pacific region increasingly deepened. Australia has beautiful and natural environment.
