New Visa Policy of Australia enacted in November 1, 2003

The new visa policy of Australia:

  • The original guarantor can be the applicant’s uncle, aunt and other immediate family members and they should provide financial guarantees, but the new guarantor of funds must be Australian citizens or permanent residents in Australia;

  • The seven categories of visas will recognize student loans;

  • From 570 to 573 visas, the funds that will be secured should be three years of tuition and living expenses. Category 574 is unchanged;

  • The secured funds submitted will be converted and based on the exchange rate;

  • From April 1, 2004 onwards, aside from graduating in high school, students also need to provide IELTS score. But age can be until 19 years of age;

  • Students who have studied for over five years in the United Kingdom, United States, New Zealand, Canada, and South don’t need to provide IELTS results;

  • From September 1, 2003, the temporary residence in New Zealand Chinese citizens to Australia from Adelaide, Australia for overseas students before the assessment center;

Separate English courses will be from 30-40 weeks or less;
