Austrian Visa Application Requirements and Procedures for Chinese Students

  • The applicant must present the Letter of Admission from the university in Austria where the applicant wishes to study.

  • The applicant is also advised to provide the following documents to the Austrian Embassy.

    • Biographical notes, letters of recommendation for admission/learning, education certificates, German proficiency level certificate

    • Birth certificate

    • Economic security certificates (Austria scholarships or assistance unit is the proof)

    • Health certificate (at least examined our months before the application)

    • Letter of Enrollment form the University in Austria.

    • Complete application form

    • Valid Chinese passports

Austrian embassy in China shall receive the application materials and report to the authorities concerned for approval. When the applicant is granted a visa the applicant is advised to apply for public funds for students through the Austrian Federal Ministry of Research. The pertinent documents proving that you are going to Austria for study shall be submitted by the Austrian Embassy in China to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Research.
