Conditions for Finland Student Visa Application

Foreign students must meet the following conditions in order to have a Finland student visa:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

  • Graduated from higher education or vocational training institute

  • Applicants should produce admission notice from a particular institution of higher education or a proof that he has been placed in university entrance exams or language examinations

  • Provide the degree or course that he want to learn in Finland

  • Proof of e conomic guarantees. Applicants who have been accepted by institutions of higher learning must produce proof that he can meet all living and studying expenses. They may also have an economic guarantor from Finland and other countries. Economic security should prove that the form is issued by banks and also a proof of the deposit in the bank account. The guarantor in Finland should open a bank account on behalf of the applicant (that is, in the name of the applicant) and deposit the amount that will serve as a proof of economic guarantee.

  • Completed visa application forms . Application forms should be submitted at the Finland embassy.

The general visa processing period does not exceed three months.
