Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, referred to as Macao, consists of three parts: the Macau Peninsula linking with the Chinese mainland, the South China Sea at the mouth of the Pearl River on the Taipa Island and Coloane, and Gongbei in Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province in the north and connect the town of Zhuhai City in the west with Wan Chai and Hengqin.
Area and population in 2003 : Area: 27.5 square kilometers including the three islands. Population: According to the Statistics and Census Bureau, as of June 30, 2005 the population was estimated at 476,000
Language: 97% of the total population speaks Chinese. 3% of the population including those Portuguese born in Macau speaks Portuguese. Chinese and Portuguese is the official language. Cantonese is commonly used in the daily lives of the residents. Some residents of the North can understand Mandarin or Taiwanese. In addition English is also very popular in Macau.
Administrative divisions: The Macao "parishes" are the administrative division units, each represents the name of the parish church. Macao 's existing seven parishes are:
1. Macao Peninsula :
* Chashma parish (commonly known as the North, including Qingzhou, Taishan, Artemisia Central chopsticks base and reservoirs)
* St Anthony's parish (Kao parish in the western region of Macao, including the first bridge and pear with the Ruins of St. Paul's Church)
* Hall (Central District, north of the new road, South Bay, sump end, the new port reclamation l ot east, the new Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal control point, the entire southern tip of the island to Ma, tourism
Tajikistan and the Legislative Council)
* Pillar Germany parish (including Holland Park, East Wangyang Hill, Tashi Stadium)
* Shun Feng parish (also known as the St. Lawrence parish, including the 1980s and Ma Shan, Xiwang Yangshan, south of the new road)
2. Taipa Die : Baker Hall (including Taipa Island and the Macao International Airport)
3. Road Central: St. Francis parish, another School Official Cites Use from the recovery of a road of Taipa City, currently does not belong to any parish.

Economy: The main income comes from tourism and gambling industry in Macao. 2002 Lottery revenues account for more than 40% of the gross national product. 75% of the total revenue in the 2004 fiscal year is direct revenue from gambling franchise.
