Immigration: Medical Certificate of Vaccination proving that the traveler has no disease. May not bring more than 1,500 Norwegian krone of non-commercial goods. Non-European visitors may bring 400 cigarettes, two bottles of wine, 50 grams of perfume and other items that has a value of NOK 3,500. There is no restriction of bringing Norwegian currency and foreign currency to Norway.
Exit: Non-resident foreign currency and domestic currency should not exceed the number allowed and they should not carry out Norway currency more than 5,000 krone.
Norway’s visa requirements
Private Chinese citizens who want to visit Norway should provide letters of invitation from relatives living in Norway and Guarantee Note to prove their ability to assume all costs. This guarantee shall be subject to the Chinese embassy in Norway certification seal, otherwise invalid. They should fill in English the visa forms and should provide two photographs.
For private settling in Norway, applicant should provide notarization of relationship and other purpose such as visiting relatives. They should fill-in two English visa application forms and provide four photographs.
Students who want to study in Norway will be at their own expense. They need to provide the admission notice from their institutions, proof of economic security, and completed visa application forms.
Those who want to have private tours to Norway should provide employment certificate and a work contract.
Scandinavian countries citizens in Norway does not need to apply for work permits. Other foreign staff from the National Division must receive work permits. In applying for a permit, the applicant shall present to the Norwegian embassy in his country of residence an employment agreement of at least one year. The applicant must prove to the local police station that his work is in Norway units to receive a residence permit. Work permits are confined and are only issued for those working in a certain industry.
