Benefits of Studying in Singapore

Compared to other countries, Singapore has relatively low costs of studying and living expenses. Tuition fees are lower than in other developed countries. Moreover, Chinese students who want to study in Singapore can easily have visa because visa success rate is high and visa process is simple and efficient.

Late last year, Singapore launched "Global Campus" program targeting overseas markets and designed to enable the development of Singapore as the world's leading educational services hub. In the next nine years, it is expected to attract over 200,000 overseas students and employees to Singapore to receive education or training. Currently, education accounted for 3.6% of Singapore's gross domestic product. The Singapore government assumes "Global Campus” success.

In the last decade, the entire education sector in Singapore increased by the proportion of 5%. It is because many high-quality private institutions contributed to the development of high quality education system of Singapore. This cooperation between these organizations results to high rate education quality of Singapore.

Singapore Polytechnic courses in communication, business, and bio-technology curriculum focuses on practical applications because they have close ties with different industries. These diploma courses include mandatory internships in order to have the opportunity to have practical experience in a regional and international environment. This will allow students to have access to the developed culture and environment and have the chance to expand their horizons.

In addition, some of Singapore's public universities maintain close links with world-renowned research institutes and with the local business community. They provide students different areas of higher education and professional training. These courses focus on improving student creativity, problem analysis and solution capabilities. There are also newly established private universities in Singapore and their courses will also be very extensive.

Singapore is a bilingual country, English and Chinese are Singapore's two main languages. Public universities and postgraduate courses require TOEFL or IELTS results and most schools have English language classes. During the study and daily life of these students, they will gradually improve their English, and eventually achieve proficiency in English. Living habits and ways of thinking of Chinese students can easily adapt to the society especially the adolescent students. But young students who want to study overseas have growing concern on security issues. Singapore has a good social order and the laws are strictly implemented thus Singapore is considered as one of the world's lowest crime rate and making Singapore studies reassuring.

Studies in Singapore have also advantages for parents. China and Singapore is very near to each other thus parents can visit their children more often. Aside from that students will be more receptive to psychological adjustment and results less worries and concerns. Currently, Singapore and Chinese cities have eight direct flights to visit relatives and children which is extremely affordable, efficient and convenient.
