Swiss hotel management schools nature and location could be summed up in the following points:

Switzerland hotel management schools are professional and have excellent reputation around the globe
Lausanne Hotel Management School is one of the professional hotel management schools in Switzerland recognized by the Swiss Federal Institute of Higher Education. In 1997, it was incorporated with HES-SO. All other Swiss hotel management school is authorized to give an official Swiss Higher Diploma qualification.
Private hotel management schools are within the Federal and local education administration department. They are also within the law and have the obligation to follow set rules.
Private "university" or "college" who offer formal education in hotel management have expensive tuition fees especially for foreign students.
The federal government consider private school as private enterprises. These private institutions are also required to obtain commercial registration and pay tax. That is why they are interested to recruit students in their school. If these schools can not satisfy the education needs of the students, students can leave the school. The Court and the government can also prosecute a school if they will break the regulations.

The school diplomas issued by China and Switzerland are recognized by the government. In addition ， Switzerland hotel management schools, such as School of Business and Management, language schools and other "international schools" are considered as private enterprise that can provide formal higher education. The same qualification of diploma will be receive by the student and is acknowledged by the Switzerland government. Chinese applicants can choose from these "university or college” with care.
