Do you know the important information about UAE? What are the local customs and taboos? Yes-Asia can provide you the answers and our professional consultants can give the important information about studying abroad! You can also register as our member and have access to free maps.

Have you ever heard that during the Ramadan in the UAE you would be detained for eating in public places? This is one of the UAE's taboos. The UAE has a special way of life and unique cultural customs. Chinese students studying in UAE must respect local customs and should pay attention to the taboo so as to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding and trouble and to have peaceful coexistence with the UAE.

UAE taboos in the following four aspects:
1, Belief: it is a taboo to neglect God's orders, idol worship, and denying Saint’s trip.
2, Social behavior: the taboos are loan sharking, gambling, playing Bei Ming, and occupying the property of another person.
It is also a taboo to participate in non-Muslim religious activities if there were Muslim brothers and sisters in the family.
3, Ethics: the taboos are raped, ruining others reputation and sowing  dissension and discord;
A person’s action should be in accordance with the teachings of the Koran which is a guide to the day-to-day operations. Any action in violation of the doctrine will be regarded as treason, and the punishment will also be in accordance with the teachings.
4, Living: eating pigs, horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, snakes, turkey, and meat from the dead. It is also forbidden to eat fish with blood, as well as all animals such as tiger, wolf, lion, leopard, bear, monkey, falcons, and beast. The use of opium is also prohibited and alcohol is banned.

While we stress the importance of the application process, it can not be denied that your school report card is still the key to be admitted in universities.

Your transcript is the most important document in studying abroad. Why are the results in your transcript so important? Because your last report card reflects your educational achievements. In addition, the information in the report card is easily compared in terms of numerical analysis. GPA is printed on the student numbers and it is the key condition for examination in the accreditation process.

Yes-Asia recommends you to take effective and proactive way to show your transcript results.
For example, you may attach a particular note in the transcript such as conversion tables for the judges or the admission committee abroad to be able to understand it in one glance. Most Asian educational institutions use the GPA system similar with the United States or Canada.

With the results, we suggest that you send a formal annex showing your school’s academic status.
You can attach an article in the paper or a simple statement of your previous academic department's competitive edge. For example, although you graduated from the country's best universities, some may not be aware of that fact.

If possible, ask your alma mater a document outlining your students ranked in the same period.
This is commonly used in most schools to assess students and it is also a convenient way. For example, if you are ranked 30th among the 300 graduates, the results may show that you ranked third with 10% of graduates.

You should also take time to think and point out positive performances and past learning.
Your school performance or achievements is a manifestation of your continuous progress. You may also include your outstanding performance in your final year and so forth. Generally speaking, the judges or admission body of majority of schools do not have the time to do this kind of analysis about you so you should be specific. In addition, members will soon examine your application files and it is very likely that this part will be overlooked if you cannot catch their attention.

Many students in their last year of more specialized training take simple courses to have rapid "increase" in their GPA.
If this is the strategy you adopted, the result will be ineffective. The subjects are pretty simple to get good results but in the application it will not be of any help to you. The admissions committee will not only look about the results but the quality of the results and conduct selective analysis. This is very important and students should pay attention to this matter.

Explain the poor performance in specific courses.

Your scores in a specific course may be far below than that of other professors’ grade. The result may be due to a poor performance under a strict professor. If this is your reason, then put Special Notes telling your accomplishments in that subject and your class ranking. The results obtained in this subject may only be “B” but you can stress your outstanding achievements and class rank.

Some students give emphasis on the complex subjects where they obtained relatively good results.
If this is your situation, please spend some time to explain subjects in which you get very good results. In addition to these subjects listed in the paper which is attached to your application, please remember to focus on some positive factors. Explain why you did not spend too much time on the subjects wherein you have particularly poor performance.

Cite your important life experiences outside the classroom.
For example, you can refer to the extra-curricular activities and participated group activities. If you are a student with any extraordinary performance, you have to spend time to describe what gains you acquired and on how you value every minute and every second. Some students have served as president of students while some may be members of the University basketball team. Explain these facts for the judges to perceive that your participation in these activities made you into a mature and well-rounded person.

Report card is the best indicator that reflects your personal learning ability in the future.
Report card results can be used to help members of the Elimination Board in judging the applicant. However, it is undeniable that the GPA results could not fully reflect the knowledge and growth of the student. Therefore, additional explanations and clarification is sometimes necessary.
