Basic Needs for Studying in Ukraine

Clothing and accessories :

  • 1 -2 Formal suit sets (for formal occasions, including watching ballet or opera.),

  • Several pieces of shirts;

  • Necktie (at least two);

  • Leather coat (longer length);

  • other daily clothing needs like underwear and shirts

  • Shoes (ordinary shoes and cotton shoes, sports shoes, outdoor as well as indoor slippers).

Books and other related reading materials:

  • Dictionary: "Russian-Chinese Dictionary", "Chinese-Russian Dictionary" The use of other Language Dictionaries is encouraged to increase language vocabulary.

  • You may bring r eading books both fiction and non-fiction;

  • You may bring your own film. It may be much cheaper than when you buy in Ukraine. Computer prices and video recorders in Ukraine are expensive. Better bring your own computer and video recorders.

  • You may bring small and cheap gifts.

  • China envelopes and stamps.

Other daily necessities :

  • An electric rice cooker. There are rice cookers available in Ukraine but expensive. You better bring your own.

  • A big knife;

  • Chopsticks(for Chinese students)

  • A small purse to contain your passport whenever you go out.

Must bring light weight boxes or luggage. The international airport weight limit foot luggage is 30 kilograms. Overweight is charged for 6USD per kilogram.
